June beats all records for Nuttall
A £51 MILLION deal for Tube maintenance firm Metronet has capped a record-breaking June for Nuttall.
The civil engineer signed deals worth a total of £240 million - more than a third of its 2006 turnover - in just a single month.
Nuttall was chosen to revamp Metronet's Neasden depot in north-west London, the largest on the Underground network.
A second major deal saw the firm's joint venture with Van Oord pick up a £50 million package to build the new outer harbour at Great Yarmouth in Norfolk.
Other wins included a £20 million box jack tunnel scheme for Sandwell Metropolitan Council and a £27 million connector station for a UK-Netherlands power cable link.
A Nuttall spokesman said last month's results were the best since the firm was formed in 1865.
