Nuttall awarded £41 million waste plant contract
Nuttall has been awarded a contract valued at £41 million by Donarbon Waste Management Limited to design and construct a ‘state of the art’ Mechanical, Biological Treatment (MBT) waste plant at its Waterbeach site, Cambridgeshire.
The plant forms part of Donarbon’s PFI contract with Cambridgeshire County Council and will handle 170,000 tonnes of waste per annum, reducing the amount of material sent to landfill by 75%.
The contract period is 87 weeks with completion of construction in November 2009.
The signing of this contract is a culmination of two years work with Donarbon and our process suppliers Kelag Umwelttechnik of Austria.
