The Company
Nuttall offers a full range of civil
engineering activities through a network of regional offices.
These are supplemented by specialist group companies and a
geotechnical division, Ritchies. In addition Nuttall operates
a Special Projects Division,
which manages the design, construction and commissioning of
any major project where large, multi-disciplinary teams of
engineers and staff are required. Nuttall has also established
a dedicated Infrastructure
Maintenance facility, which handles complex road and rail
schemes, often working in alliance with clients.

Nuttall Hynes
Located in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, Nuttall Hynes is focused
on delivering a full range of small to medium sized civil
engineering maintenance and infrastructure works mainly to
clients in the South East.
Nuttall John Martin
With a head office in Shipdham, Norfolk, Nutall John Martin
has a strong local presence and a rich heritage in Marine
Civil engineering. More recently this specialist Nuttall company
has developed a reputation for the management and delivery
of highway structures framework contracts and the restoration
of historic structures. The employment of “Limpet Dam”
technology for harbour quay repairs is a particular strength
of Nuttall John Martin.
Nuttall
Finchpalm
This subsidiary company is located in Wembley, London and
specialises in the design, supply and installation of signalling,
communications and other civil, mechanical and electrical
services, Nuttall Finchpalm also provides skilled and safety
critical labour resources for the rail industry and operates
rail training centres.
Ritchies
With four offices throughout the U.K. and a further office
in Ireland, Ritchies offers a comprehensive geotechnical service.
As Nuttall’s specialist geotechnical division, Ritchies
provides a design and build capability encompassing every
aspect of ground engineering, ground investigation, concrete
techniques, drilling and blasting.
