Overseas
Nuttall has been actively engaged in overseas
construction works since the 1930’s. The company has
undertaken many diverse heavy civil engineering projects,
ranging from works on the Trans-Iranian State Railway, and
major harbour works in Port of Spain, Trinidad, to the Owen
Falls Dam on the river Nile in Uganda and Victoria Dam in
Sri Lanka. Recently completed international civil engineering
activities include major tunnelling works in Egypt, road and
hospital construction in Ghana and airport terminal and infrastructure
works in Zimbabwe. As a leading maritime engineering contractor
in the world, Nuttall also constructs container terminals,
ro-ro facilities, jetties and other harbour structures as
illustrated by the flexi-port constructed in the Falkland
Islands.
The completion of the award winning Bangladesh-UK
Friendship bridge exemplifies Nuttall’s positive approach
to project management overseas.
Nuttall is fully resourced, in financial,
technical and human terms, to undertake any major civil engineering
