Nuttall has a long, successful history of constructing container terminals, roll on roll off terminals, ferry terminals, jetties, berths, piers and breakwaters in addition to general cargo handling facilities.

The delivery of successful flood alleviation programmes forms another important contribution to Nuttall’s total service to clients. With a proven track record of undertaking flood defence and coastal defence schemes for the Environment Agency and local authorities throughout the U.K., Nuttall has expertise in this field which is second to none. The complexity of schemes is diverse, ranging from the construction of a 9.5 km flood alleviation channel between Windsor and Eton to small scale river wall refurbishments. Nuttall is currently working on a twenty year PFI scheme in the Norfolk/Suffolk Broads and is a framework contractor for the Environment Agency.
